Case Number: A-427-001 Anniversary Month: April Current Rates: Scope: The products covered by this order are shipments of crystalline sorbitol (sorbitol), a polyol produced by the hydrogenation of sugars (glucose), used in the production of sugarless gum, candy, groceries, and pharmaceuticals. The abovedescribed sorbitol is classified under HTS subheading 2905.44.00. The HTS subheading is provided for convenience and for customs purposes. The written description remains dispositive. |
DOC Determinations: Sunset Review 2009: Initiation | Final Commerce determines dumping of Sorbitol from France likely to continue in expedited sunset review - awaiting ITC likelihood determination to continue antidumping duty order for 5 more years. On November 3, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its Final Determination in the expedited sunset review of Sorbitol from France. The Department of Commerce found that dumping would likely continue or recur if the order were revoked. The International Trade Commission now must determine whether injury would likely continue or recur if the order were revoked. If the International Trade Commission finds a likelihood of continued injury, the antidumping duty order on ironing tables from China will continue for another five years.
